Volunteer for a BBQ for the Washington Youth Fly Fishing & Conservation Academy

We'd love your help. Every year in June, the Washington Council of Trout Unlimited, in conjunction with Fly Fishers International, puts on a week-long academy for youth across Washington state. The youth learn fly fishing, fly tying, conservation, and more in a jam-packed week of hands-on learning and practice. The Olympia Chapter of TU provides support for the youth and the Academy folks by hosting a closing BBQ. It's so much fun to hang out with the kids, see their enthusiasm, and help to cement their dedication to conservation and fly fishing. They are our future!

 

Join us - we'll be flipping burgers and dogs, providing home-made delights for their eating pleasure, and making sure all get fed and the bbq gets cleaned up.  If you have special bbq skills - a secret sauce recipe or Grandma's best baked beans in the whole world, mad spatula talent, or love serving food up to hungry people, we want your help!

 

Car pooling is encouraged - we're going to Shelton for the BBQ. We'll send more specific details as we get closer to the event.
