Virginia Heritage Kids Day

The Annual Virginia Trout Heritage Kids Fishing Day at Graves Mountain Farm and Lodges is a full Day of Fun, Kids Fishing, Food and More. The Rapidan Chapter #307 of Trout Unlimited invites all kids Under 18 To come out and experience the Mountain Air on this Historic Farm and Fish The fabled Rose River. For tis event Virginia DWR will "super Stock The section of river at Graves MNT farm. No adult fishing is allowed from the stocking time up to 5pm the day of the event. Kids Under 16 may fish without a license on this day only.  The Rapidan Chapter will be On hand To provide stream Monitors, Invertebrate demonstrations, Knot tying, Fly casting lessons and demonstrations, Fly Tying Demonstrations, conservation Information and so Much More. Our  Partners Include Virginia DWR, Graves Mountain Farms and Lodges, The Graves Family, Ducks Unlimited and Many More. come out for a fun day. Kids are allowed to Take the state limit of 6 Trout. Any tackle is permitted.  There is Plenty of Parking. Easy access to the event. This is a stream side event so persons with mobility Issues are asked to plan ahead. accessible facilities are limited but available. Food and Drinks are available at the concession sold By GMFL. 

The event will end at 3pm.
