Virginia Priority Waters - Hungry Mother State Park
Hungry Mother State Park, 2854 Park Blvd.
Marion,
Virginia
24354
The Virginia Council of Trout Unlimited invites you to join a fascinating and informative event to promote the Virginia Council's Priority Waters initiative and to learn about the Hurricane Helene recovery efforts in the Grayson Highlands priority waters region.
This event will also give the Southwest Virginia Trout Unlimited Chapters the opportunity to attend a Council meeting.
Event participants will experience educational presentations from knowledgeable guest speakers, great food, networking, free raffle, and fishing opportunities. The free raffle giveaway prizes include a $50 gift card, fly tying kit, LL Bean fly rod & reel, and more.
The three-day event will be held in the Lake View Lodge at the beautifully forested Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, VA. This 2,900-acre park encompasses a variety of habitats, including a 108-acre lake at its centerpiece. The park offers approximately 18 miles of trails, fishing, camping, picnic areas, and a host of other services and rentals.
Meals are provided free at the hospitality of the Virginia Council. Participants are responsible for lodging accommodations. Lodging is available at the park's cabins and campgrounds, and hotels in Marion and Wytheville. After registration, the event organizer will make available lodging suggestions, and a draft meeting agenda.
