Please join the supporters and members of Southern Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited as we clean up and make the habitat better along Gordon Creek. This event is free and open to all whether you're a member or not! Feel free to register and bring friends, colleagues, and family members.

SWTU Workday

Upper Yahara River, DeForest, Dane County

4601 Innovation Dr., DeForest

Time: 9am to 12 noon (sawyers that have completed a chainsaw safety course please arrive at 8:30, if needed we can provide a chainsaw and safety equipment).

Where: Upper Yahara River, DeForest. Meet at park entrance at 4601 Innovation Drive.

What
: We will be working with Greg Hall, Deputy Director of Public Services and his staff removing invasive woodies.

Bring: Be sure to bring safety glasses. If you forget we have extra that you can use. We want everyone to wear them. Also work gloves, sturdy shoes, ear protection, and reusable water bottles that can be re-filled from our 5-gal water jug. Stay hydrated.

Parking: There is plenty of parking on Innovation Drive.

Oct 31 - Pleasant Vallery Branch – Continuing our clearing at this site on Dane County Rd H, working with James Brodzeller removing honeysuckles and box elders.

Nov 14 – Mt Vernon, Deer Creek – Continuing our work at this site near Pop’s Knoll Park, State Hwy 92 working with James Brodzeller.
