Please join us for our annual board elections, a chapter update, and a special presentation by Kristen Poppleton.
Kristen's topic is:
Protecting Coldwater Fisheries: How can you get involved?
She will present on current threats to coldwater fisheries in Minnesota and what you can do to get involved in protecting them. Opportunities include volunteering on habitat projects, using your voice at the Capitol, and supporting our Trout in the Classroom program.
Kristen Iverson Poppleton serves as the Assistant Director of Minnesota Trout Unlimited, where she advances the organization’s mission of conserving, protecting, and restoring coldwater fisheries and their watersheds across Minnesota. Previous to her role with MNTU, Kristen spent 14 years as Senior Director of Programs at Climate Generation, where she lead strategic initiatives aimed at empowering educators, youth, and communities to take action against climate change. She currently serves as Co-chair of the City of St. Paul’s Climate Justice Advisory Board, served on the Federal Advisory Committee for the Sustained National Climate Assessment, as well as Minnesota’s Science Standards Revision Committee. Kristen holds a BA in Biology and Hispanic Studies from St. Olaf College, a MEd in Environmental Education from University of Minnesota, Duluth and a MS in Conservation Biology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Kristen enjoys recreating in water of all forms, including canoeing in summer and cross- country skiing in winter, especially with her husband, two kids, and Labrador Retriever Kikkan!

Anybody is welcome to attend this meeting, but only members with dues paid will be allowed to vote.
The Chapter meeting will start at 7 pm, with 10 minutes of "virtual lobby time" to give online participants time to log on. In-person participants are invited to join us for social time and food/drink (on your own dime) from 5 pm onward.
