Details

WHERE
  • At the North Lot of the Miesville Ravine Park, where Trout Brook is located. 
  • 2 major restoration projects have been completed here by MNTU and Dakota Parks.
 
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING
  • Working with Dakota Parks staff & staff from the firm that designed & engineered the restoration work.
  • We will be cutting and treating buckthorn and scouting for snowy campions (click the link below to learn more) in the recently restored stretches.
  • May have to wade across the stream, but nothing deeper than 1 foot.
 
WHAT TO BRING:
  • Dress for the weather, but likely long sleeves and long pants
  • Boots you can get wet
  • A bottle of water
  • A hat
  • Sturdy workgloves
  • Bug spray to be safe
WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED
  • Loppers
  • Buckthorn Blasters
  • Lunch (post event)
NOTE
  • Watch for an email 1-2 days before the event in case it's cancelled.
