The Martins Jacoby Watershed Association in partnership with the Forks of the Delaware Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be conducting a tree planting on Saturday October 11th. The tree planting will occur along the Martins Creek in Lower Mount Bethel Township. Heavy equipment will be used to dig the holes for the trees. Volunteers are needed to plant the trees and install wire fencing for tree protection. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers should arrive at 8AM. The entrance to the planting site is located directly across from the intersection of Good Road and Lower South Main Street a few miles outside of the village of Martins Creek. When turning into the planting site you will cross a railroad track. Ensure that you stop and check both ways before crossing.
To get to Good Road Road from Bangor: Take South Main Street out of Bangor towards Martins Creek for approximately 4-5 miles.
To get to Good Road from the village of Martins Creek: Take Lower South Main Street north out of Martins Creek towards Bangor approximately 2-3 miles.
