Why pick up trash on Hay Creek the day after Thanksgiving?
-Lots of trash to pick-up, help beautiful a stream we care about!
-Work off those Turkey Day calories!
-You have Friday off already!
-You've had enough "family time" & need to get out of the house!
-Get one last good deed done before the snow flies!
Where will we meet?
-In the Super 8 parking lot at 10AM
-Look for a congregation of people who appear to be ready for outdoor work!
Where will be working?
-Starting just downstream from the motel, moving upstream under Highway 61 & about another 300 yards.
-The trash will be both on the banks and in the woods and stream itself, so a few of us will be in and out of the water!
-There's a bike path on the east side of the stream where we'll deposit our bags of trash for pick-up.
Other important items
-We'll have a briefing at 10am, figure out assignments, pair-up and get to work!
-Wear weather appropriate clothing, and if you have them, bring chest waders and trash grabbers.
-TCTU will provide the trash bags!
