This is a casual fly tying event at The Hive on E Sprague in Spokane. Come and socialize with some fellow anglers and fly tiers.
Date: March 14, 2024
Time: 3:30pm - 6:30pm
Location: The Hive, 2904 E Sprague Ave, Spokane, WA 99202
Format: Come and go as you please. This is not a teaching session or formal instruction on a particular fly. This will be a fun time to see what people are tying and working on. We are creating a safe space to ask questions, work on our skills, and also visit with like-minded people.
Three options for tying:
1. Bring your own tying materials and tie flies for yourself.
2. Purchase a baggie from SWOTF of tying materials. Two flies can be made with each baggie. Written directions or instructional video link will be included. Cost is $5/bag (please bring cash.)
3. Volunteer to tie flies to be donated to Tie-a-thon. We will be donating 100 Pat's Rubber Legs this year.

If you have them, bring your vice, tying tools, craft light, and extension cord. We will bring our nine vices, tools, and lights for people to borrow.

Location/Food & Drink:
The Hive is operated by the Spokane Public Library. It is a beautiful, modern space for meetings and presentations. The building is locked and the door code will be posted the morning of the event. We will be meeting in Studio E.
Food and (non-alcoholic) drinks are allowed in the building. Feel free to bring a snack and a beverage with you! We will plan to go out for food and adult beverages afterwards.
