Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 - 7:00pm at Stockertown Rod & Gun Club.

“The Hole Story – Karst Issues in the Lehigh Valley” with Nathan Pritchard, District Manager Northampton County Conservation District.

The Lehigh Valley, including large parts of the Bushkill Creek Watershed, are underlain by limestone bedrock. This presentation will cover an introduction into how this geology shapes the landscape above, and how human activity affects (and is affected by) the complex systems that lie beneath our feet. We will discuss sinkholes, stream flow, and stormwater management, among other issues.

Event is open to the public.
