TCTU Adventures - Forestville/Maple Springs Campground
Join us for an informal fishing trip to Maple Springs Campground where we will meet the TU Mid Missouri Chapter on their annual Driftless Region trip. This is a DIY social trip designed to bring members together for camping and fishing fun. The campground is located near Forestville State Park just west of Preston, MN.
There are no formal activities planned but expect a Saturday happy hour to share fishing tales and perhaps a TCTU vs Mid-Mo cornhole or bocce match. Also of note: Preston is holding their annual Trout Days celebration during the same weekend.
Reserve a campsite at Maple Springs Campground by calling Andy at 507-951-8876. Feel free to stay one, two or three nights - this is a casual, drop-in event! TCTU has also reserved a primitive group campsite with space for 4-5 tents (sites RR & RS) for the duration of the event. Please contact event organizer if you are interested in using this camping area which is next to the Mid Missouri group.

What do I need to bring?
- Everything you need! This is an outdoors, DIY trip so bring your own gear, food, camping equipment, etc.
Can children attend?
- Yes but they must have a parent with them. No childcare will be provided!
- You can request space in the guest questionnaire during ticketing process.
Can I arrive early or stay late?
- Yes - you will reserve your own campsite at Maple Springs Campground (unless staying in the TCTU group site.) Pick a timeframe that works for you.
I’m new to driftless fishing, are their designated “fishing buddies” available?
- Yes. A limited number of volunteers are available to help you get started - while supplies last! Please see guest questionnaire or contact event organizer for details.
Can I fish in the Forestville/Mystery cave?
- No but the cave tour is a nice break from fishing. Reservations are recommended and available at Mystery Cave State Park
