The 305th Street section Hay Creek recently had a habitat project completed on it. A feature of this restoration are the root balls used to help stabilize the stream banks.
Some of those root balls have long roots sticking out into the current, leading to snags which results in line, leader, or tippet materials being lost in the water. No good.
The Lake City office of the MN DNR has given us permission to find and trim back those long roots!
What do you need to bring?
