The Gitche Gumee and Twin Cities Chapters of Trout Unlimited are pleased to present their first joint chapter meeting!
In the Fall, enormous trout and salmon move from their feeding grounds in Lake Superior into streams and rivers to spawn. Jason Swingen will join us via Zoom to explain the habits of these magnificent fish: where and when to find them, and how to entice them to bite when their minds are on matters other than feeding.
Jason is a web developer, internet marketer, outdoor writer, and avid fly fisherman. He grew up in Montana chasing mule deer and antelope, but since moving to Duluth in 2014, he has been primarily focused on catching steelhead and smallmouth bass on the fly. He is currently the Vice-President of the Gitche Gumee Chapter of Trout Unlimited, and the email campaign manager for Minnesota Trout Unlimited. Our September meeting will be in-person, with a Zoom option for those who prefer to attend remotely. The Zoom link to the event is here. We are excited to be able to meet again face-to-face, and share an adult beverage and a few stories during our social time. To keep everybody safe, we require that all in-person participants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We will not be asking to see your vaccine certificate, but we will ask you to confirm you are vaccinated when filling in our attendance sheet. If you are not vaccinated, please feel free to attend via Zoom.
For in-person participants, please join us for social time and food/drink (on your own dime) from 5 pm onward.
