Learn more about fishing in the fall for migratory trout and salmon in the tributaries of Lake Superior. Including when to fish, where to go, how to fish more efficiently, and other tips to make your time on the water more successful.
Jason Swingen is a fly fishing guide based in Duluth, Minnesota, specializing in the diverse fisheries of Lake Superior and its surrounding watersheds. His expertise is focused on pursuing the area's prized steelhead, native brook trout, and aggressive smallmouth bass on the fly.
A dedicated conservationist, Jason serves as the President of the Gitche Gumee Chapter of Trout Unlimited. He regularly shares his expertise on local fisheries through his website, js-outdoors.com, and his work has been featured in numerous Minnesota Trout Unlimited Newsletters, Lake Superior Steelhead Newsletters, and by the Minnesota DNR.
The Chapter meeting will start at 7 pm, with 10 minutes of "virtual lobby time" to give online participants time to log on. In-person participants are invited to join us for social time and food/drink (on your own dime) from 5 pm onward.
