Stanley Cooper Trout Unlimited September Speaker - Joe Simons: The Wild Trout Man Experience

It’s that time!!

Stanley Cooper Trout Unlimited fall speaker schedule will start Wednesday, September 2nd at Sabatini’s Bottleshop in Exeter at 7:00 pm. I will be the September speaker with the topic: 

The Wild Trout Man Experience.

I will showcase my lifelong passion for the science, art, adventure and zen experience of fly fishing. Tips, techniques and strategies will be discussed for catching and filming trout. The focus is on Class A Wild Trout and Natural Reproduction Streams with emphasis on conserving, protecting, and restoring these waters. Stream monitoring, habitat restoration, fly tying, matching the hatch, stream side entomology, maps, books, graphs, camera equipment and video production for YouTube will all be reviewed in detail.

It’s a simple formula but with urban and industrial development and habitat loss, especially in the

coal regions of Pennsylvania, the destruction to native and wild trout water has been devastating.

Water Is Life. 

Deforestation, resource extraction, thermal stress, sedimentation and AMD are death. All topics on the agenda that will be addressed.

Our speakers will continue in October, November and December on the FIRST Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm. See you there!!
