Smith River and Road Clean Up

Here is the opportunity to become a river steward. Join members of the Smith River Trout Unlimited Chapter and friends for the first of four river/road clean up conservation projects. The trash pickup will take place at designated location.

Participants will meet 8:00 am and return by 12:00 noon at the Bassett Canoe Access (Trent Hill Canoe Ramp), 271 Trent Hill Drive, off Route 57 in north Bassett. The Chapter will have water and issue empty refuse bags. A pizza lunch will be provided for participants.

This is a rain or shine event open to the public. Participants should dress according to the weather, wear long pants, sturdy walking shoes and bring gloves. Waders are optional. Trash will be consolidated at the Bassett Canoe Access. For more information contact Matt Tuggle at matt.tuggle@henry.k12.va.us
