Jackson Birrell, a PhD student at the University of Montana, is leading a project on the Utah Provo and Diamond Fork Rivers in October and November 2022 to better understand the drivers of salmonfly distributions and declines. We are seeking help from the Utah TU, angling, and conservation community who can help with this important research.
Volunteer dates are Mon - Fri Oct 12th - 26th. Volunteers need to commit to at least 4 hours of work on a particular day and must drive to and from Provo or Spanish Fork. We'll provide rides to and from field sites from there. Lots of wading and some hiking will be required, and folks will need to bring appropriate weather and wading gear, food, water, etc.
