We're looking for 10 volunteers to help identify plants in preparation for stream bank repairs on Duchee Creek! See the map for the location! Please sign up using this invite so we have an accurate count.
We Will Be
- Identifying and marking rare plants
- Under the guidance of our friend, Dustan Hoffman of the DNR
- Looking for the plants in several sections along Duchee Creek
What Else?
- Do I need experience? No, Dusty will train us.
- What are the plants?
- Great Indian Plantain
- Smooth-seathed Sedge
- Glade Mallow
- Three-leaved Coneflower
- Snowy Campion
What Do I Bring?
- Dress for the weather
- Water!
- A hat, sunblock & bug spray
- Maybe gear to fish with after
What Will Be Provided?
- Training on what plants we're looking for
- Marking materials & other tools needed
