Program will describe a dozen or more invasive plants common in the northeast PA area, and will present control options for managing their populations.
Brian McDonnell retired from the National Park Service in December, 2020. The last 17 of his 35 year career were spent leading the NPS Northeast Region’s Northeast Exotic Plant Management Team. The team used an integrated approach to managing populations of invasive plants in NPS units in six northeast states. He had a strong interest in developing innovative methods to control target species. Much of this research was presented at annual meetings of the Northeastern Weed Science Society.
