Fun with feathers this time. As usual, we'll start at 1:30 and wrap up around 3:30. We're still working on locations - right now we are putting Lumen Field as the location (just ignore that!) and stay tuned for an email about the real location..
New this year we're asking for a $5 donation to help pay for fly tying materials. Please use the donation button in the registration form to make your donation - or you can pay cash at the event. More if you can, less if you can't. We'll be providing materials packets for everyone to use.
We welcome beginners; we have vices and tools available to borrow - just let us know so we make sure we have enough.
Here's the materials list for the Pheasant and Partridge Soft Hackle
- Brown or black thread – 8.0 or 70 denier
- Size 10, 12 or 14 nymph or dry fly hook
- Fine copper wire
- Pheasant tail
- Partridge hackle feathers
- Ice dub peacock or peacock herl
Tools:
- Vice
- Scissors
- Bobbin
- Hackle Stacker
- Optional: Whip finisher
As always, please let us know if you can't make it. You can email pugetsoundwomenonthefly@gmail.com to let us know. Thanks!!
