PSWOTF - Women's Fishing Outing - Tuesday Tangle on the Cedar River (See Details tab)
Join our first Tuesday Tangle of 2025 - June 10th at Ron Regis Park in Renton. We'll do a brief casting refresher / practice for the first 30 minutes, then we'll head to the river to find some fishies to catch and release. As we leave the river, we'll use our nets to pick up trash on the way out, doing our part to conserve the riparian habitat our little fishy friends rely on. We'll be available to help newbies, but this isn't a full-on "teach you how to fish" outing.
A few days prior to the event we will send out an email with more details and any changes that may have needed to be made. Please watch out for an email from pugetsoundwomenonthefly@gmail.com.
Cancellation - unfortunately, there isn’t a way to cancel on Event Groove. If you aren’t going to be able to make it, please either hit the “contact event organizer” or send us an email at pugetsoundwomenonthefly@gmail.com to let us know.

Indicators (for fishing with nymphs)
Below are common flies for fishing the Cedar. The best fly for the situation depends on a lot of factors so your best bet is to have an array of flies in your set. Call or go into your local fly shop to find out what has recently been working for the waterway. Buying flies is always a great way to support your local fly shop!
Common Flies:
- Dry: Parachute Adams, Royal Wulff, Elk Hair Caddis, Stimulators, Humpy, Royal Coachman, grasshoppers
- Nymphs: Copper Johns, Pat's Stone, Lightning Bugs, TJ Hooker
Suggested donation: $5.00 - more if you can, less if you can't.
We keep as much as possible free to our participants; if you are able, please consider a donation to help with costs. We use these donations to provide loaner gear for those who don't have their own yet.
