PSWOTF - Women's Fishing Outing - Picnic Point Park (See Details tab)

We’ll be fishing for Sea Run Cutthroat at Picnic Point Park at 11 a.m. A few days prior to the event we will send out an email with more details and any changes that may have needed to be made. Please watch out for an email from pugetsoundwomenonthefly@gmail.com. 

Cancellation - unfortunately, there isn’t a way to cancel on Event Groove. If you aren’t going to be able to make it, please either hit the “contact event organizer” or send us an email at pugetsoundwomenonthefly@gmail.com to let us know. 

Gear:

• Fishing License

• Rod and Reel: 5-6 wt will work for the sound

• Waders and boots or wet wading gear if it’s warm enough

• Leader & Tippet - You’ll want an intermediate sinking line, or you can purchase a sinking leader

• Flies (see below) 

• Nippers and pliers/clamp

• Appropriate layers for the weather

• Water and snacks

• Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen

Optional Gear:

• Net

• Wading Staff or walking stick

• Indicators (for fishing with Nymphs)

Below are common flies for Sea -Run Cutthroat. The best fly for the situation depends on a lot of factors so your best bet is to have an array of flies in your set. Call or go into your local fly shop to find out what has recently been working for the waterway. Buying flies is always a great way to support your local fly shop!

Common Flies:

• Woolly buggers, Muddler Minnows, Chum babies, Spiders, Reverse Spiders, Clausers, Euphasiids
