PSWOTF - Women's Fishing Outing - Olalla Bay (Sea-Run Cutthroat)

We’ll meet at Olalla Bay parking lot (across from the Market) at 10:30 a.m. A few days prior to the event we will send out an email (from pugetsoundwomenonthefly@gmail.com) with more details and any changes that may have needed to be made.
The tide changes around 10:30 a.m. so we'll meet and get our gear out, we'll fish the incoming tide (high tide is at about 2:30). There is a market with snacks, food, and warm beverages across the street so when we want a break or are done with fishing we can have a post fishing hang out!
Cancellation - unfortunately, there isn’t a way to cancel on Event Groove. If you aren’t going to be able to make it, please either hit the “contact event organizer” or send us an email at pugetsoundwomenonthefly@gmail.com to let us know.
Gear:

Fishing License **Must have saltwater license**

Rod and Reel: 5-6 wt will work for the Sound

Leader & Tippet - You’ll want an intermediate sinking line, a dry fly line also works well!

Below are common flies for Sea -Run Cutthroat. The best fly for the situation depends on a lot of factors so your best bet is to have an array of flies in your set. Call or go into your local fly shop to find out what has recently been working for the waterway. Buying flies is always a great way to support your local fly shop!

- Woolly buggers, Muddler Minnows, Chum babies, Spiders, Reverse Spiders, Clausers, Euphasiids
