PSWOTF - Black Friday Fishing Outing - November 29 at Rattlesnake Lake
On this Black Friday, let’s keep our dollars in our pockets. Instead, meet us at Rattlesnake Lake at 9:00 am. We’ll gear up and get out on the water. A few days prior to the event we will send out an email with more details and any changes that may have needed to be made. Please watch out for an email from pugetsoundwomenonthefly@gmail.com.
Cancellation - unfortunately, there isn’t a way to cancel on Event Groove. If you aren’t going to be able to make it, please either hit the “contact event organizer” or send us an email at pugetsoundwomenonthefly@gmail.com to let us know.

Rod and Reel: 9 ft 5 wt is a good starter, anything from 3-6 wt will work depending on what you have

Below are common flies for Western Washington. The best fly for the situation depends on a lot of factors so your best bet is to have an array of flies in your set. Call or go into your local fly shop to find out what has recently been working for the waterway. Buying flies is always a great way to support your local fly shop!

Dries: Mayflies, Stoneflies, Caddis, Stimulators, Humpy, Parachute Adams, Royal Wulff, Royal Coachman, Grasshopper, Ants

Nymphs: Copper John, Pat’s Stone, Pheasant Tail, Prince Nymph

We have gear to lend, including wading pants, some boots, rods and reels, and even a personal watercraft or two. Please let us know at least five days in advance if you need gear, so we can plan to get it to the event.
We keep as much as possible free to our participants, if you are able to please consider donating cash or through Venmo at outings.
