Join us to plant trees along Otter Creek, then hang out by the river with a campfire and pizza!

This summer, Trout Unlimited installed a beaver dam analog (BDA) on Beaver Brook - an important thermal refuge tributary to Otter Creek. On Sept. 27, we will be planting native trees along the brook and the river - and adding more structure to the BDAs to help them store water and restore the wetland and floodplain of the stream.

The tree planting - taking part alongside our 5 Rivers College Club campout weekend - will be a fun, family-friendly way to make a difference on a local river - and all volunteers are welcome to hang out after around the campfire with a free pizza dinner. (Bring your own camping chairs!)

*Note: The Yates Meadow is between the Otter Creek Fun Center and Vermont Store Fixtures on Route 7 in Danby - look for the TU event signs to find the entrance.
