THIS SIGN UP IS FOR THE IN-PERSON PORTION OF THE TRAINING ONLY. YOU MUST ALSO SIGN UP FOR THE ONLINE TRAINING SEPARATELY. 

Greetings to TU Members on the Westside. Fall is coming and so is BAT training for the greater Seattle area and all over the westside. The BAT Team Trainers will be leading a BAT training on November 5th and 6th. The training on the 5th will be virtual from 1 to 4pm. If you can't make it, you can watch the training on our YouTube channel. The training on the 6th will be in person at Red Town Trailhead in Newcastle.

This consists of two trainings that are required to join the WA Council of Trout Unlimited's Barrier Assessment Team (BAT). As a reminder, all participants must be Trout Unlimited Members.
  • November 5th from 1-4PM via Google Meets Video Conference
  • November 6th from 9AM-4PM in person at Red Town Trailhead in Newcastle. Meet at the parking lot for the trailhead and look for people wearing reflective safety vests. Coordinates for meeting location are 47.535464, -122.128755
Attendance at both trainings is required. You can attend another locations training if need be. Contact the Volunteer Barrier Assessment Team Coordinator, Nick Ulacia, at nicholas@washingtontu.org with any questions you might have.

What to bring: 
  • Preferably waders, but high rubber boots are acceptable
  • Lunch and water
  • Dress for the weather, bring extra layers in case you get cold
