Minnesota Trout Unlimited Autumn Habitat Tour

Join us on October 5 for a day-long behind the scenes tour of 4 sites in the Metro and Southeastern portion of Minnesota where MNTU has completed habitat improvement projects. The tour will offer an interactive and engaging opportunity to learn how our projects are implemented from the process of landowner engagement through post construction maintenance. You’ll see firsthand on our habitat improvement projects have significantly enhanced trout populations and ecosystem health! Bonus happy hour at Summit Brewing following the tour to debrief the day and ask any follow up questions.

Since 2008 Minnesota Trout Unlimited (MNTU) has undertaken extensive habitat improvement projects, restoring over 100 miles of Minnesota streams. These projects span from limestone streams in the southeast to cascading streams on the North Shore, focusing on restoring floodplain access, accommodating flood flows, managing sediment loads, and enhancing habitats for both game and non-game species.

DETAILS

When: October 5th, Bus Departs at 8:00AM and returns by 5:00 PM. Optional happy hour at Summit Brewing Company to follow.

Where: We will meet at the Summit Brewing Company, 910 Montreal Circle, St. Paul, MN 55102. Please park next to the Ratskeller Taproom in the Training Room parking lot. Easily accessible by bus, train, or bike! We will be travelling together throughout the day by coach bus.

Who: MNTU staff and partners will be leading the tour. All are welcome, but this trip is most suitable for ages 12 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cost to attend: $20. This includes lunch and transportation throughout the day. Please use the link provided below to register, pay and indicate your lunch preference!
