KEN SINK TU and BLAIRSVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FLY FISHING CLASS

Instructor: Bob Sagely, PFBC Certified Fly Fishing Instructor 

A five-hour (9am~2pm) introduction to fly fishing class for ages 13 and up. Cost is $20.00. Participants under 16 years of age by March 1, 2026 must be accompanied by a registered participating parent (A discount fee of $30/pair will apply.). Class fee includes a light lunch. Equipment is provided but you may bring your own gear. Wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing. Restroom available from 10 am until 2pm at the Rec Center adjacent to the park.

Class size is limited to 20. Early registration is advised. Registration closes June 10th, 2026. Registration payment by check only. Make checks payable to: KEN SINK TROUT UNLIMITED. Participants will learn a variety of basic skills that will allow them to begin to enjoy fly fishing as a recreational pastime. Topics covered: Basic equipment and terminology; How fly fishing differs from spin and bait casting; How to rig a fly rod; Basic knot tying for fly fishing; The basics of forward and roll casting a fly rod.
