Tis the season for some North Sound Cheer! Join us at Larrabee Lager Co., 4151 Guide Meridian Road #100, in Bellingham from 7-9pm on December 11th for this year's IRON FLY!
Iron Fly... Is it fly-tying nerdery? Rigorous competition? Holiday celebration? Exactly!
Fly tying meets Iron Chef as folks "compete" in a battle of bobbin prowess and scissoring skill to impress our judges and win an assortment of prizes.
Tiers will work with a variety of supplied ingredients and a few mystery items. Race against your competitors to show judges that your vice has the spice for Iron Fly!
Competitors will need to provide their own vice and tying tools! (If you need a vice, let us know. We'll find you something). Headlamps are highly recommended! Hooks, thread, and a small pantry of staple materials will be provided.We'll be outside on the patio under heaters, so dress appropriately!
There will be plenty of time between rounds of competition to eat some tasty food or down a pint of Larrabee Lager Co.'s excellent offerings. They are gracious hosts so let's show them our gratitude!
Event is FREE and open to all (ages, skills, elves, etc.) but space is scarce so advance REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
