Green Bay TU 2025.26 Guest Speaker Meeting #4
Details
Guest Speaker:
For many years, GBTU has discussed focusing much of our habitat improvement work on a single stream. This way, we can have a place to highlight our efforts and direct folks to trout. There are many benefits to this.
More recently, our chapter leadership has restarted the conversation internally and with of the WI DNR. One location that seems to be a great opportunity is the North Branch Beaver Creek. This is due to its proximity and potential.
Our next speaker, WI DNR Fisheries Biologist Chip Long, is joining us to possibly raise this discussion to another level. We strongly encourage everyone to come join us.
According to Chip, "This presentation will highlight the administrative process and partnership for an external group to Adopt-a-Fish or Wildlife Area. The North Branch Beaver Creek has been sampled in alternate years since 2009. We will briefly review the most recent survey data (2025) compared to previous years."
How exciting !!
