Nov 6th Guest Speaker:
Retired Aquatic Ecologist, Tom Lager, is a wonderful resource and fantastic speaker. He spoke with us in April 2023 on Giant Mayflies of Wisconsin. The 2023 presentation was extremely insightful and well-attended. This time around Tom will be presenting about another aquatic macro-invertebrate, the Grannom Caddis. As he says, "knowing Gannom leads to better fishing."
The title of Tom's November presentation is: "The Habits and Behaviors of the Grannom Caddis."
Below is Tom's Bio:
"I have enjoyed thirty-plus years of fly fishing experience mixed with a passion to share the ecological wonders and values of aquatic insects and their association with the trout we fish. While active in Fox Valley Trout Unlimited, numerous opportunities arose to teach, present, and write about “the bugs of trout streams” to a wide range of audiences, like youth fish camps, Trout Unlimited chapters, and statewide meetings, as well as to numerous community civic and conservation organizations. Retirement from careers as an aquatic ecologist and corporate technology developer permits me time to advocate for the cold water resources of Central Wisconsin."
