Green Bay TU 2025.26 Guest Speaker Meeting #1
Details
Oct 2nd Guest Speaker:
Many people may not know that Green Bay Trout Unlimited (GBTU) covers Brown and Door Counties. It can be hard for us to cover the conservation efforts going on in the famous Wisconsin peninsula. That is one of the many reasons we are excited to welcome Door County Land Trust's Executive Director, Emily Wood, as our October 2nd guest speaker!
Emily will be sharing a presentation titled "Improving Fish Habitat Through Land Protection."
Below is Emily's background:
"Emily is the Executive Director of the Door County Land Trust (DCLT) which protects and stewards over 10,000 acres of habitat across the Door peninsula and its islands. Since joining DCLT in 2022, she has led the organization in implementing an ambitious, proactive approach to land conservation—one that meets the challenge of unprecedented development pressure while protecting the county’s most ecologically significant landscapes. Emily was recently honored as a 2025 Lake Michigan Champion of Conservation by the Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership (LNRP). Previously serving as the Executive Director of the Indiana Wildlife Federation, Emily collaborated with the National Wildlife Federation, Ohio River Sanitary Commission (ORSANCO), Great Lakes Conservation Coalition, and the Indiana Conservation Alliance to address pressing environmental, climate, wildlife, and habitat policy issues. She enjoys fishing, photography, birdwatching, and time away from her cell phone."
It should be a good one !!
GBTU 2025-26 Budget (and more):
Additionally, our membership will be presented the chapter's 2025-26 DRAFT Budget for approval (following the speaker). The DRAFT Budget was passed by the Board of Directors (BOD) at our September 4th BOD meeting. We encourage everyone who can make it to come and check out your chapter's vision for the next year.
The DRAFT Budget, October agenda, and September meeting minutes will be shared, via email, early next week.
