GBTU 2026 Habitat Day #2
Details
Dear Green Bay Trout Unlimited Members and Supporters!
We are excited to announce details for our second 2026 habitat improvement project!!
Evergreen River Habitat Project:
This project will improve habitat along a 1,100-foot section of the Evergreen River at the end of Allen Road through brushing, brush bundling, and the installation of complex wood habitat. Volunteers from multiple Trout Unlimited chapters, working alongside the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and led by Taylor Curran and the Antigo Fisheries Crew, will use Christmas trees and tag alder collected during the winter of 2026 to complete this stream restoration effort. Bring waders and gloves (if you got them).
- The project location is around a one-hour drive from Green Bay.
- We will be at the project site, rain or shine.
- Beverages and a grilled lunch are provided for all volunteers.
- Please let Paul Kruse (GBTU Habitat Project Chair) know if you are attending, so we have enough food and beverages for lunch
