Garfoot Creek on Garfoot Road Workday with SWTU

Please join the supporters and members of Southern Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited for our final workday of 2026 as we clean up and make the habitat better along Garfoot Creek. This event is free and open to all whether you're a member or not! Feel free to register and bring friends, colleagues, and family members.

SWTU Workday

Saturday, December 4, 2026

Garfoot Creek, Garfoot Road, Dane County

Time: 9 am to 12 noon (sawyers that have completed a chainsaw safety course please arrive at 8:30, if needed we can provide a chainsaw and safety equipment).

What: Working with Kyle Olivencia, Scott Harpold, and Vince Schmitz clearing the stream and making brush bundles.

Bring: Be sure to bring safety glasses. If you forget we have extra that you can use. We want everyone to wear them. Also work gloves, sturdy shoes, ear protection, and reusable water bottles that can be re-filled from our 5-gal water jug. Stay hydrated. Also bring waders or rubber boots as we may need to get in the stream.

Parking: There is plenty of parking on Garfoot Road.
