A stream sample is being planned on the improved habitat section on the South Branch of the Vermillion River. The survey will sample fish and trout abundance. Volunteers will help net, hold, measure, and weigh fish. The sample will assess brown trout, rainbow trout and other species populations in the river.
The meeting time is between 8:30- 8:45 at the South Branch parking lot and the survey will start around 9:00. We’ll usually work until 2:00-3:00. We ask you bring your non breathable waders, water, lunch, and polarized glasses if you have them. Air temps are expected to be in the upper 70’s.
We have room for 6 volunteers. We will plan to meet at the South Branch of the Vermillion River parking lot.
