Join TCTU & our friends at Dakota Parks in cleaning up areas of Dakota Parks Land on the Vermillion River and South Creek. And enjoy post-event burgers and brats cooked up by the grill masters from TCTU!
 
Vermillion River
The Vermillion is the closest "fishable" trout stream downtown Mpls & St. Paul,  & is the only actual trout stream in a major metropolitan area in the world! It holds large browns and is stocked every year with rainbows by the DNR. Once an open sewer, the Vermillion has become a gem in the TC metro area.
 
South Creek
South Creek is a cold-water tributary of the Vermillion, which is slated for restoration work in the next several years! It's had "Driftless strain brookies reintroduced to it last year, and has a population of browns, which are rumored to be in excess of 27".  Ditched in the 50s, it will become a beautiful, fishable and valuable part of the TC metro area's streams!
