Join us for an update on Western Wisconsin from Kasey Yallaly and the Wisconsin DNR Baldwin office. Kasey will discuss several current fisheries management projects in the area including an overview of a feral brook trout stocking program evaluation, a stream realignment trout habitat project, some new regulation changes in Pierce County and the current status of the major streams within her management area including the Rush River, Kinnickinnic River and Willow River.
Kasey Yallaly is the DNR Senior Fisheries Biologist out of the Baldwin office, managing the northern portion of the Driftless Area including Pierce, St. Croix and western Dunn counties. Some streams within her management area include the Rush River, Kinnickinnic River, Willow River and Eau Galle River. She has been in this position for 8 years now. Prior to her current position, she completed her Master’s degree at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. She also worked in fisheries management in northern Idaho for 2.5 years which included work on trout rivers including the Coeur d’Alene and St. Joe rivers. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University and worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation for 2 years in forestry and fisheries research.
