The wild and scenic St. Croix River has a rich history and ecosystem. Join Evan Griggs, owner of Fishing For All, for an in-depth look at fly fishing for smallmouth bass, pike, and muskies on the St. Croix. He will also highlight several unqiue trout fishing opportunities and conservation initiatives in the watershed. His presentation will take you on a 200 mile adventure, from the headwaters to Stillwater MN, and up several tributaries. You don't want to miss it!
Evan is a TCTU board member, local fly fishing guide and environmental educator going on 14 years of experience. He has a strong passion for sharing fishing with others by making it fun, accessible, and engaging. He also believes in using fishing as a catalyst for conservation and community building. Evan lives outside Pine City, MN with his wife and daughter, overlooking the St Croix. He is best known for his carp and urban fly fishing passion, but he also loves exploring the 200+ miles of wilderness found on the St. Croix River
If you are attending in-person, please join us for an Education "Happy Hour" from 5:30 onward. Evan, Amber Taylor, and Jim Emery from the MNTU Education team will be on hand to show what has been going on with Trout in the Classroom and talk about upcoming student Trout Releases in Farmington and Stillwater. They'll also have information on volunteering for summer fishing skills programs in metro-area lakes, and for our new "Meet a Stream" program where we will take kids and their parents to nearby trout streams.
TU Chapter meetings are open to anybody, but if you are not a TU member, we'd be delighted if you would join! For a special introductory offer to join TU, click here.
Chapter meetings are free of charge. However, a donation to TCTU would be highly appreciated! To donate, click here.
