Chapter Fishing Outing / Mentoring Weekend
Details
Join SEWTU on August 28–30 for our Fourth Annual Driftless Mentored and Social Fishing Weekend at the West Fork Sports Club in Avalanche, Wisconsin, on the banks of the West Fork of the Kickapoo River in the heart of the Driftless Area.
Affordable camping is available on the club grounds, including electric sites. For campground information, amenities, and directions, visit the West Fork Sports Club website: https://westforksportsclub.org/. Motels and rental cabins are also located nearby.
Trout anglers of all skill levels are invited to pair up with mentors who know this unique region, which is home to more than fifty named trout streams ranging from small, remote brook trout waters to larger, improved streams that support thriving populations of wild brown trout.
Already a Driftless expert? Come help mentor fellow anglers—or simply join us for a weekend of fishing and camaraderie!
On Saturday evening, gather around the campfire for a Driftless-inspired charcuterie, grilled snacks, cowboy beans, Joe’s famous Volcano Dutch Oven Cake, cold drinks, fishing stories, and a very informal fishing contest featuring suitably cheesy prizes.
To RSVP or ask questions, please email ricklarkin76@gmail.com.
We hope to see you there!
