Please join us in a joint Twin Cities and Hiawatha Trout Unlimited effort by helping a great landowner improve the Bullard Creek AMA. We need 15 volunteers.
What Will We Be Doing
Under the direction of 2 friends of coldwater resources, Mark Reister (the landowner) & Dusty Hoffman (MN DNR) we will be cutting, pulling and hauling old fence from around the AMA to help facilitate the planting of native vegetation. Later events will include fence post pulling!
The Plan
- Meet before the start time at the location (see map).
- We'll sign waivers, drink some coffee, get set up and get to work.
What You Should Bring
- Dress for the weather
- Heavy work gloves
- Wire cutters if you have them
- Water!
What Mr. Reister, Trout Unlimited & the DNR Will Provide
- All heavy equipment (tractor, wagon for hauling)
- Protective eyewear
- Wire cutters (bring a pair if you have one to be safe)
- LUNCH after we're all done working!
