Building off a successful 1st Annual Battenkill Spawning Survey, in 2020. TU will be repeating the event in 2021, and we need your help! You can sign up to attend this larger event, on November 13th, where we will meet and break off into teams that will survey designated reaches of the main stem and tributaries. You can also sign up with the event and Battenkill HRI Project Coordinator, Jacob Fetterman (at Jacob.Fetterman@tu.org), for any time you are available through the month of November. All you'll need is a pair of waders, cell phone or clipboard, and (suggested) polarized sunglasses. If volunteers would like to float reaches of the main stem, we are also requesting volunteers to complete surveys along the Battenkill.
Please consider also attending the September 28th Online Redd/Spawning Survey Training and November 6th In-Person Redd/Spawning Survey Training. If you are unable to attend either training, you can view the 2020 online training on your own time before completing surveys this fall.
