Barrier Assessment Team Training
Greetings TU Members, and thank you for your interest in WCTU's Barrier Assessment Team. We are pleased to offer this BAT training session led by Luke Kelly, TU staff member, on Saturday June 14th at 8:00AM until approximately 2:00PM. This early start time is necessary because the trails in this park are very popular and the parking lot fills quickly on the weekend.
Training consists of two parts. The first part of the training is prework to be completed virtually by you before the in-person training, as described above. You must complete this prework before the field training on June 14th in order to fully understand the in-person training. Please come prepared by watching the two videos above.
We will meet for field training at 8AM on June 14th, 2025 in the Red Town Trailhead parking lot in Newcastle, Washington. This is located just east of Newcastle Golf Club on Lakemont Blvd (aka Newcastle Golf Club Road), here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/UHBSRRGMFkSmy4Pn8
WHAT TO BRING
You must be a current member of Trout Unlimited to participate in this training. If you have never been a member of TU you can sign up for $17.50 Here--->https://gifts.tu.org/intro. You can renew your membership at same location for the regular price of $35.
(We do not need your TU membership number, just your word that you have joined or renewed your membership. This is a requirement because of our agreement with WDFW for training volunteers)
IMPORTANT: Once you have Registered for the in-person Saturday June 14th training, please email Dean Campbell (BAT Coordinator) to let him know ---->> <dean@washingtontu.org>
