Tim "Shorty" Bartholomew presents "Keeping It Simple". Tim "Shorty" Bartholomew is a retired English teacher with a minor fly tying addiction. Shorty's YouTube channel "Shorty on the Fly" is a must view for both beginner and advanced fly tyers and this is a chance to interact with this local celebrity live.
In an effort to romanticize what we do as fly fisher folk, we sometimes like to overcomplicate things when the simple solution might serve us better. While it can be entertaining and fulfilling to stretch ourselves and sometimes push the boundaries of fly design, more often than not a return to the basics should nicely fill the bill that simpler approach will be the subject of "Keeping it Simple"
Shorty has have been fortunate to have many fellow fly fishers share their knowledge and experience with me over the years. It seems that Shorty is constantly learning new things every time I interact with a fellow wielder of the long rod. This is my chance to give back and provide what I have gleaned of the years.
