Our April workday will be a continuation of the dead ash tree removal that we have been doing the past few months. Weather permitting we will put about three hours of work in cutting dead ash trees near the river and cleaning up after this winter's storms and high winds. Quite a few trees have fallen or are about to fall into the river. We will focus on felling and clearing problematic trees and cleaning bank areas in preparation for future in-stream work. Drinks, lunch and all equipment including safety equipment is provided. Bring your own work gloves, boots, and weather appropriate work clothes.
Start time is 9am. We will meet at the Winooski Dr. parking lot just east of the Onion River.
