Come join RVTU members and friends as we enjoy the best fishing that Pennsylvania's famous limestone region has to offer. We have reserved the group campsite for 5 nights, from May 5 to May 10. This is first come, first served, as the group site does have a capacity restriction. You don't need to come for all 5 nights - but be aware fishing is often much better on weekdays after the crowds come home, so consider extending you stay past the weekend for a few days!
Penns is known for its plentiful, but highly selective and wary wild brown trout. It is also known for prolific hatches. During the time we will be there, expect blue wing olives (in the evening, or on cloudy/damp days), tan caddis, and maybe some early sulphurs (particularly toward the end of our stay). If super selective wild trout isn't your preferred game, there are many other streams in the region offering excellent fishing for wild or stocked fish, as well as small mountain streams full of native brookies.
Food is largely on your own. Note: the nearest restaurant is at least 30 minutes away over dirt forest road so you won't be ordering out for pizza!
PLEASE PURCHASE A TICKET FOR EVERY NIGHT YOU PLAN TO CAMP WITH US. This will help us to manage capacity and to know when people are coming and going.
