
WYTU Council's Community Connect: Fall Summit
Event Overview
This is a three-day event in Saratoga, Wyoming, from November 7-9, with a focus on Trout Unlimited activities. The event includes a mix of recreational, social, and organizational meetings.
Friday, November 7
The first day is primarily for informal activities. The day begins with a fishing trip on the Platte River, starting at the Saratoga Hot Pools Ramp from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The evening concludes with a meet and greet at Snowy Mountain Brewery & Pub from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, providing a chance for attendees to socialize.
Saturday, November 8
Saturday is dedicated to organizational meetings and discussions. The morning starts with a welcome, followed by a "State of TU" presentation with Leslie Steen and Patrick Harrington via Zoom. The Executive Council Meeting follows, covering topics such as approving minutes, reviewing the treasury and budget, and discussing fundraising and committee updates.
The afternoon includes an Executive Council Discussion focused on the strategic plan, including setting biannual meeting locations and dates for 2026 and beyond. There will also be a chapter engagement discussion/training and a project review for the Muddy Creek Project. The day ends with a community engagement event (Trivia Night) at the Hen and Harvest.
