Women's Beginner's and Experienced Groups

The site of the event will be at the NYSDEC Fish Hatchery in South Otselic, NYS Rt. 26 The event is on Sunday, May 21,2023. Registration and group scheduling along with group seminar locations will be at 10:30 AM.

Beginner's - Novice Group
- Little or no experience in fly fishing
- Desire to continue to learn and promote the goals of Trout Unlimited
- Instruction includes: basic fly casting, some knots, and fly tying
- Equipment will be provided - waders not needed. Fishing will occur at one of the ponds 
- Fish license is not required
- Lunch will be provided

Experience Group
- Should have basic skills of fly fishing along with several - many fishing outings
- Instruction includes: higher level of casting, line control with mending techniques, and stream entomology
- Must have your own equipment - rod and reel, waders, vest, and flies
- Fishing will be on the Otselic River and a valid NYS Fishing License is required
- Lunch will be provided

   Note: Each group will have only 10 participants. There is no cost, therefore, we are asking that if you register and are selected, a 100% commitment is                             expected.

   Pre-registration must be completed by May 15th, 2023
