Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park Lunch & Learn: A CX3 Portland Event

Enjoy the crashing waves, rocky coastline and soaring osprey at Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park in Freeport as we visit with our partners at the Maine State Parks for a special lunch and learn event. We’ll hear how important advocacy efforts, like TU’s push to fully fund the Land & Water Conservation Fund, have real-world impacts on providing equitable access and community resources in parks across Maine – and the country. After sandwiches and a quick Q&A, you can tour the park trails, stop at the spotting scope to see the nesting osprey on the nearby island and enjoy catching up with fellow outdoor enthusiasts and conservationists.

Free shuttle from Holiday Inn by the Bay (as part of all-day tour) or park on your own at the park (incurs parking fee).

While the talk and activities at Wolfe’s Neck Woods are free and open to all, lunch requires either an “all inclusive” registration to CX3 or the purchase of lunch ($10) with registration for this specific CX3 event here.

Directions from North or South: From I-295, take Exit 22  and turn east on Mallet Drive. Continue to the traffic light and turn right onto Main Street. In 0.2 miles, turn left onto Bow Street (across from L. L. Bean). Continue on Bow Street (becomes Flying Point Road) 2.3 miles following signs for Wolfe's Neck State Park. Turn right at Wolfe’s Neck Road and follow the road to the park entrance on left in 1.4 miles.
