Details

Help us restore a healthy riparian buffer along the West River in New Haven!

Join us on Saturday, May 2nd to remove non-native plant species at Amhryn Field. This volunteer workday will help us prepare the site ahead of volunteer tree planting projects on May 10th and 16th. We're going to plant over 200 native trees and shrubs to add some much needed biodiversity, filter and reduce stormwater runoff and create important habitat for all kinds of fish and wildlife species.

We'll get started in the parking lot at West Rocks State Park at 10 am. No experience necessary - this event is perfect for the whole family! We'll have all the tools and equipment you need.

This project is supported by the Greater New Haven Green Fund.
