Often, the cast is the hardest, most intimidating part of learning to fly fishing. Well, Bluegrass Trout Unlimited is here to help!! At our annual Casting Clinic we will break down the different parts of a fly rod, the mechanics behind rod weights and lengths, and offer an hour of casting instruction per class. This is a fun family friendly event (everyone should learn to fly fish!) proudly hosted by West Sixth Farm they have beautiful piece of property right outside of Frankfort. Where there will be cold beverages for all ages, a rotating food truck, walking trails, two ponds, and even a disc golf course. So get ready to learn, have a blast, and feel more confident on the water!!! New to our Casting Clinic this year will be local rod maker Dave Huff of Whuff Fly Rods who will have demo rods for all experience levels to cast!!
